missing outlook complication after OS 26.2 update

After OS update of 26.2, missing outlook complication of "up-Next" on Apple Watch 7.0. The outlook app also does not opens on the Apple watch. Big challenge for people who cannot use third part apps (due to exchange accounts)

Apple Watch Series 7, watchOS 26

Mista2 solution worked:

Reinstalling the Outlook complication from the watch Apps Store seemed to fix the synch issue for me, it hooked right up. I don't know if this was complicated by the Outlook on my phone being pushed from our corporate management app, but I had tried reinstalling and updating the iPhone app too with no success or change on the watch.

The only other thing I did was edit my watch face to remove the complications from the display, as they still seemed to be stuck displaying the last synched data, even though the Outlook watch app had been removed.

So to fix my instance:

1: From iPhone Watch App, remove the Outlook complication and confirm removed from watch app list

2: Edit watch face to make sure no Outlook complications in use

3: Access the Watch App Store and download outlook from there

Now appearing to synch OK when Watch Outlook app launched.

I can now re-add the Outlook calendar and inbox complications to my watch face and they display the correct data. Though initially the complications again only showed last synched data from 4 days ago, until I opened the complication, then it updated.

Tried everything in this thread - what worked for me was to uninstall Outlook from Watch, then uninstall Outlook from phone. Re-install on phone (automatically gets pushed to Watch too) and everything is back to normal and the complication works again. Note I'm probably one of many people where my employer is controlling access to Outlook on my phone and this worked.

I finally got outlook working again on apple watch including “Up Next” Outlook calendar complication.

Here is exactly what you have to do in the exact order:

  1. de-couple apple watch completly (delete all)
  2. delete the outlook from iphone
  3. couple the watch again and set up as new watch (do not use ur backup, it wont work)
  4. install outlook on iphone
  5. delete outlook from apple watch using the apple watch app on iphone („do not show on apple watch“)
  6. go into app store on your watch and search for outlook
  7. download/install outlook on apple watch again
  8. open outlook app on watch (should now start normally and sync data without the stuck loading screen)
  9. set up new watch face and search for outlook next up complication. It should now show up and sync upcoming calendar dates.
  10. Thumbs up for this insane working solution! Took me hours to find out.

Have a nice Christmas everyone

Hardware: iPhone 17 Pro Max, Apple Ultra 2 Black Watch.

Problem Outlook and complication would not load after numerous reinstalls, just the dots spinning around the Outlook logo.

Thanks to those who found solutions that worked.

I was able to use that info and a simpler version worked for me.

Remove complication, remove Outlook from watch via iPhone watch app.

Add Outlook from the watch appstore app (This seems to be the critical piece), open Outlook on the watch.

Outlook actually opens now. Then add complication.

Up Next working on watch, and outlook opens correctly.

That solution for me worked only partly. The Outlook watch app opened again (before after several de-couplings and re-installs of the app from the iPhone app it was always crashing - installing it fresh from the watch App Store directly on the Watch solved this).

However, the "up next" complication still did not show up for selection, even after several re-starts of the watch. What helped here, was a forced re-start, i.e. not through the menu, but by holding crown and side button for 10 secs and then rebooting.

Now works fine again, fingers crossed!

Hey just follow the steps I have described in my comment.

I think if outlook updates automatically, the problem with stuck app on watch appears again.

You simply only need to repeat this small steps and it will work again:

  1. delete outlook from apple watch using the apple watch app on iphone („do not show on apple watch“)
  2. go into app store on your watch and search for outlook
  3. download/install outlook on apple watch again

So in general to fix the calendar, phantom vibrations and stuck loading screen, follow the full guide and all steps I have described.

Once outlook receives app updates, repeat the steps in this comment and it will work again.
