Why does my iPhone 15 pro max with a model number of A2849, have two dual

No, it is a legitimate model number in the USA and Puerto Rico. It does indeed feature a duel esim.
Dual eSIM – the ability to use up to two electronic SIMs at a time – is not the same thing as a tray that accepts dual physical SIMs.
if you don’t believe me check this:

From that article (emphasis mine):
"iPhone 15 Pro Max A2849
The iPhone 15 Pro Max A2849 is available solely in the United States and Puerto Rico … Instead of a physical SIM card slot, this model features Dual eSIM functionality, allowing for two active eSIMs and storage for eight or more eSIMs."
"iPhone 15 Pro Max A3108
The iPhone 15 Pro Max A3108 is tailored for mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau … While this phone lacks eSIM capabilities, it uniquely supports dual nano-SIM cards."
Good job! That should stay in the community.
ok, so there is no doubt that you have only esim support. So, now can you explain you reason for coming to the community in the first place more clearly?

Try sending the screenshot again only use markup to hide you name, IP addresses and serial number.
your iPhone is a esim. Which, to avoid confusion is a electronic version of a physical sim card but solely maintained electrically. It is safer and easier to transfer between devices.
Just like I said. You don’t have a physical sim card slot in you device, unless it was modified (highly unlikely, next or higher then impossible) so, can you explain the question that led you here in more depth? I don’t understand it.
You need to cover personal information. That is illegal here in the community. That’s like me saying my name is ********* right here. (By the way, my name is not Asterixs.)
if you do that then you can post that photo and it will stay and not get reported.
So, if you follow from when the thread started, I clearly stipulated that this phone does not support eSIM. However, it does have a SIM tray that supports nano SIM (physical SIM), and the tray accommodates two nano SIM cards. It is working with two nano sims right now and not esim.
This one has dual nano-SIM card slot though, with the 5G mmWave network though. That's where I'm confused. It doesn't take esim.
A physical sim slot for nano sim, which also happens to be dual.
Maybe this might also help, the model number before you tap is NU683LL/A. heard N is for replacement?
