I found this and it worked . I had the same issue and finally fixed it. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Display and Text > Larger Text. I turned off Larger Accessibility Sizes then slid the font size all the way down. Then reopened Reminders and could see the Dismiss option. Then I put my font sizes back where they were and everything seems to work now. Hope that helps!

I found solution....Go to settings, then apps, then to the reminders app. within the reminders app there are ADDITIONAL notification settings.

Why the notification preferences directly under settings dont work for this and why there is even a main notification settings and separate notification settings for each app is quite confusing but im sure was put there by some of the smartest people in the world LOL.....Thanks!

I only have one other device, a macbook. I don't have it synced with my phone, nor have the "Find My" option enabled on it.

But do you have your phone registered as your location in the settings I quoted?

If you do then I don't know why the persistent popup is happening. You could go to iPhone, Settings, [tap your name], iCloud, see all, Reminders, unsync Reminders from iCloud and select to remove data from iPhone. Uninstall Reminders app Reinstall from App Store, and re-sync.

Ensuring your current device is prioritized in Find My (Settings > [Your Name] > Find My > Devices)

Yes we covered that, but thanks.

Set "use this device for my location" on the device you want to set urgent reminders. In iPhone, Settings, [tap your name], Find My.

If you want to set urgent reminders on other devices then put in a feature request here https://apple.com/feedback

Is that on iPad or iPhone?

Don't take any notice of the reply by marredder138 designated by the forum AI as Top Ranking reply - it is wrong.

All you need to do is to designate your device, phone or ipad, as the device you want to use as your location in iPhone, Settings, [tap your name], Find my, then set urgent reminders only on that device. Trying to set urgent reminder on any other device will generate the peculiar pop up..

AI has not yet caught up with human knowledge of 26.2

Have you tried to add an "urgent" reminder on a device that is NOT designated as your Find My location?

That sets up a request on your main Find My location device.

I found a solution to this problem. I tried many solutions in the settings to stop the annoying pop ups. Under the date and time buttons I simply unchecked the urgent button and the pop ups never came up when I clicked on my reminders. If a reminder is truly urgent you can simply set another reminder perhaps 5 or 10 minutes later or a short time before it to realize its urgency. The best thing to do is set your alarm clock just before the reminder but it’s best in my opinion to set your alarm clock a minute or so after the reminder. I you don’t hear the reminder the alarm is there for backup, but if you hear the reminder you can simply turn off the alarm which is usually louder than the reminder’s sound.
