Apple TV 4K wont remember where I left of on purchased shows tvOS 26.2

Apple TV 4K never remembers where I am in an episode, it does it with every show I have purchased and watched the first time or repeated viewings. Kind of annoying

Apple TV never remembers where I am in an episode I subscribe to Apple TV thru my Roku device. I don't use my iphone for this. If I pause and episode and the television times out, when I come back, I have to open the app and find the show and find my place again. Same thing happens if I start watching in one room and decide to finish watching the series in another room. I'd expect Apple to be a little more technologically advanced than this. I never have this problem with Hulu, Netflix, Prime, Max, Stars, Paramount or any other streaming app. Even the free ones. How do I fix this? I can't find anything about this in settings, although someone on Reddit said he found a solution there.

Apple TV does not remember watched episodes No matter what I’ve tried, Apple TV does not remember any episode I watch of programs. I’ve tried adding them to up next and that doesn’t work. The only way I can get it to remember where I’m at, is to manually mark an episode as watched. I’ve searched and it doesn’t seem I’m alone but haven’t found a solution. Any ideas?

Apple TV is no longer keeping track of my last episode watched. Not sure if this is an Apple TV or TV+ issue. All I know is, All other media Apps are still keeping track of where I left off. But as a new Apple TV+ member, it doesn't work. It's easier to believe that it's a fixable problem than to believe that Apple overlooked the convenience of this feature and didn't bother to include it?

I’ve noticed that as well. Time to submit feedback to Apple.

Feedback - Apple TV - Apple

Try checking Settings->Apps->TV->Play History ON. If it’s on try toggling it off/on a few times.
