Can an iPhone SE update higher than 18.7.2?

iPhone SE, iOS 18
The original iPhone SE, released by Apple in 2016, cannot be upgraded beyond iOS 15.X. So apparently you have a later iPhone SE model.
All later generations of iPhone SE can use, and should be using, iOS 26. You may not use iOS 18.7.3 on this iPhone.

Yes. I’m thinking it’s a storage issue. I’ve tried everything else. I may have to dump some apps and hope that works. I really only want the security updates, I don’t care about the rest.
SE 2nd Gen and the more recent SE 3rd Gen are go for iOS 26. Please see Apple's compatibility chart for iOS 26 to confirm.
Thank you for replying. My phone has been stuck on update requested. Then asks for my password then the cycle repeats. So I’m not sure why it won’t continue.

Do you know what iOS version is being requested? The only legitimate answer is iOS 26.2.
You need to have at least 20 GB of free space on your iPhone to be able to update. More would be better.
Tap Settings > General > iPhone Storage to check on the available space on your iPhone.
