Apple USB SuperDrive is not showing up in Finder

Apple USB SuperDrive is not showing up in Finder like it usually does. It does however show up in the System Report. I put a CD into the drive before I realized this. Now I have no way of ejecting the CD or transferring the music to my library. Can anyone help with both issues? I have restarted my laptop. I have typed "dsrutil eject" into the Terminal app. Nothing works so far. This is on a MacBook Pro early 2015, Sierra 10.12.6. I use this older laptop to transfer music onto, then share to my newer MacBook Air which has no useful ports or CD/DVD drive. :/

Wha do you mean by “no useful ports”? On my SuperDrive I use a USB-A to UBS-C adapter to plug it directly onto my M1 Studio Max. Your MacBook Air surely has USB-C and Thunderbolt ports. My SuperDrive functions normally and I can rip a CD directly into Apple Music. You should be able to plug your SuperDrive directly into your MacBook Air and transfer music

USB SuperDrive should appear in Disk Utility.
