Bluetooth Adapter For iPhone Pairing

I just went through an ordeal trying to pair my iPhone X with my newly upgraded Windows 11. According to one of their moderators, my drivers in Device Manager are faulty. Therefore, he said I should try a Bluetooth Adapter. I hate to buy one of these and have it not work. Are any of them sure to work?

Hmm, I don't know about that. Buying a Bluetooth adapter only adds Bluetooth functionality to a device that didn't already have that ability. Assuming your Bluetooth works for other devices, I can't imagine another Bluetooth adapter would be of much use.

Faulty drivers should be easily fixable with a reinstall of the relevant drivers:

  1. First, remove your old drivers. Open Device Manager, then expand the 'Bluetooth' tab (near the top) and find the option that says 'Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)'. Right click and choose 'Uninstall device'.
  2. Then, get replacement drivers. If your PC's a pre-built, find the support/driver downloads page for your exact model of computer and download the Bluetooth drivers from the appropriate category (make sure they're for the exact model of computer you have). If you (or someone else) put it together from individual components, find the support/driver download site for your exact motherboard model and download the Bluetooth drivers from the appropriate manufacturer's site (make sure they're for the exact model of motherboard you have).
  3. Lastly, run the downloaded executable and follow the instructions to install the drivers.
  4. Restart your computer and test.

This won't remove any of your data from your computer, it just installs a fresh set of drivers. Let me know if you need more information or guidance, I'm happy to help.
