How to resolve AirPods Pro software update and connectivity issues with a new iPhone?

Hello, Apple Community. I have AirPods Pro 2nd gen and they refuse to update their software. Ive tried every thing and nothing works. Yesterday I got a new phone (17 pro max) and my old phone was a 13 pro max. My AirPods still think they are connected to my old phone and refuse to connect to my new one. Ive tried resetting 5 times. Talked to 4 apple support people. Waited 30 minutes like they said and nothings working. I've also followed the steps on the apple website to update the firmware but it doesn't work. if anyone has any tips or tricks please respond to this message. Have a good day and thank u.

Updating Airpods:

AirPods updates cannot updated manually. They update the next time they sync to a device that itself is connected to the Internet. This is because they do not have their own IP address. So, connect them to your iPhone or Mac while it is connected to the Internet, and let all be for few moments. It will sync itself, sure enough.
