  • Do you have a VPN installed? That can affect Apple services and not always removed with Safe Mode.
  • When you say 5G wifi, do you mean a Hotspot connection or Cellular Provider Wifi box? If so, test on a traditional WiFi network.

Other than a Factory Reset, the only thing I could suggest is an OS conflict with a process running on startup that affects network connections and Apple Servers want no part of it when using the Music app. The 4010 error has been noted with interference of a Firewall/Antivirus software. You can use the free EtreCheck report to check for any processes running on startup that persists through Safe Mode and may be causing the problem. Hosts file changes by Antivirus software persists through a Safe Mode boot.

Re: AppleMusic Subscription MacOS 15.7.2

How to resolve 'Something went wrong' error with Apple Music subscription on Mac?

Wondering if updating your MacOS version may help:

(Reminder : It is always wise to back up Mac beforehand, if you choose to update MacOS)

What's new in the updates for macOS Sequoia - Apple Support eg: says macOS Sequoia 15.7.3 is the latest,

and "This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users"

Thank you, brbo.

Spoke with Apple Support. The 4010 error started showing up on 17 Dec. Engineering still researching.

I asked them if 4010 was particular to Sequoia 15.7.2, and have not heard back yet.

I usually wait a few months before doing a serious upgrade like 26. It gives appsDevs time to adjust.

Even if I backup my Mac to TImeMachine and then install 26, I cannot go back to Sequoia, correct?

I'll give Engineering another week. I asked to be placed on email. I figure it would also be in an OS update package.

Thank you much.

As Sequoia 15.7.3 is the newest Sequoia update, they may be working with that version now, (especially as it contains security updates).

Wise to do that, if waiting to use new features, (or any increases in privacy and security) is not a concern.

Correct. Seems technology always moves forward toward improvement, and, at Apple, in keeping privacy and security of our data up-to-date.

Thank you. All the best :-)
