Can you tether iphone to Ubuntu Linux?

I have an iMac at home, but on the road I use a netbook. I used to have Windows installed on it and I would tether my iphone to it all the time. Recently, I made the switch to Ubuntu for my netbook....

but now my iphone won't tether???? Is there are reason for this? Is there a fix? Or do I have to go back to Windows....

BTW - I am using an iphone 4... (secretly...wish it was my old 3GS)

Imac, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

SUCCESS!!!! I DID IT!!!

I am so happy!!!! Window's isn't suitable for my netbook! In fact I have developed such a distaste for Window's that I am learning to enjoy using Open Office. It's difficult to get used to it...but I am making progress..

Back to the topic.. I found a link that helps you install the correct drivers on linux. WORKS GREAT!!! I am tethering perfectly... bluetooth and all.

I hope the link helps someone else!!!

Now...if I could only get my iphone 4 to stop dropping every call...
