Where has the bottom status bar on the Music app in MacOS Tahoe gone?

Where has the bottom status bar on the Music app in Tahoe gone?

In particular I am looking to see the size of my music library which was always there before.

View-->Show Status Bar ---- Does absolutely nothing.

You know what I had to do???? I had to disable the warning about not syncing my library! I actually am syncing my "local library" on disc when my iPhone is plugged in.

I forget what I even clicked on the warning pop-up.

BUT BUT BUT....you have to be in Albums or Songs or Artists - CANNOT be seen in "Recently Added" view! Which is the view I always use.

Look at this:

Well, this is one terrible bug, and one terrible UI change. I don't have Apple Music, I think I was able to set my library as the default view. It's not terribly important (I think ???) to see how large your Apple Music collection is.

I never wanted to install Tahoe, I only took a chance due to these "random kernel panics" that happen every day. My theory on this one is that very few people have my model Macbook pro and so perhaps it doesn't get the intense QA testing and it falls through the cracks. The 2nd to last version of Sequoia fixed my "random kernel panic" but the last version of Sequoia brought it back <sigh> (every kernel panic does send the report to apple though)

So, if I understand correctly: do not install "apps that claim to "clean up" or "speed up" or otherwise "optimize" your Mac" but DO INSTALL your program "EtreCheck so we can see if you have some software installed that is causing your issue. AND make sure you give "full disk access" to etrecheck." So you are saying to take some app, that basically nobody has heard of but yet "give it full disk access". I think I'll pass on that one. Thanks.

sorry, I cannot reproduce your issue. when I use View > Show Status Bar the expected information is presented.

so I must ask, are you using any apps that claim to "clean up" or "speed up" or otherwise "optimize" your Mac? and / or any antivirus apps? the only thing those apps are good for is causing major issues within macOS while providing ZERO protection or benefit. you would do well to uninstall them.

if you have no such apps, i'm thinking you should download and run the free version of EtreCheck so we can see if you have some software installed that is causing your issue. make sure you give "full disk access" to etrecheck. Learn how to use it by reading Using EtreCheck. if you need help interpreting the report, you can see how to post the report here by reading How to use the Add Text Feature When Posting Large Amounts of Text, i.e. an Etrecheck Report. and it automatically obscures sensitive things (like serial numbers) so you don't have to worry about sharing the report here.
