See lyrics and sing in Apple Music on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
If you don't see lyrics, translations, or pronunciation on your iPhone or iPad
If the Lyrics button is grayed out, you’re playing a song that's not from the Apple Music catalog, lyrics aren’t available for that song, you're not connected to the internet, or the song isn't downloaded from Apple Music.
If you don't see the Translation and Pronunciation button, or the Show Pronunciation or Show Translation buttons are grayed out, translations or pronunciations might not be available for your song or language. You need to download the song from Apple Music, or be connected to the internet to view translations and pronunciation.
The feature may not be available for certain languages at this time. The feature may not be available for all Apple Music songs (I think it requires cooperation from the artist, studio, or publisher). The feature is certainly not available for songs from other sources (downloads from elsewhere, or CD rips, etc.). For offline mode, you may need to re-download the song (if initially downloaded before this feature was available).
