iPhone 17 Pro Max camera audio corrupted

iPhone 17 Pro Max’s corrupted audio in videos. Recorded with camera app (basic settings). Latest iOS. Not charging or recording to external harddrive at the same time. No external mic. Only thing I was doing at the same time was playing Music to home pod. Brand new phone. First videos recorded with it. Christmas eve, my children opening presents with my 83 year old mother. Several videos and the audio is corrupted on every single one of them. There is a LOUD bbbbrrrrr sound even though you adjust the volume to minimum. Tried to send the videos to Macbook Pro, no luck with the audio. Memories gone. Pretty much ruined the Christmas. Anyone else having this issue? Later on I switched off the phone and rebooted it. I took some videos while playing music to the same home pod. The audio was fine after the reboot, unfortunately that did not give me a piece of mind. Im pretty sure it’s a bug in iOS and hopefully there will be an update to fix the issue. New Year’s Eve is the next big thing, I’ve never been scared before to film something, that’s not the case anymore.

That is not surprising, there is only one usable audio channel that I am aware of. I am surprised that music was not halted while you record on camera. Certainly happens on my less sophisticated iphone.

Remedy, turn off streaming if you want to record on camera.

Or if you are overdubbing a video over music for your social channel, use the tools provided by your social, eg such as on YouTube or Instagram.
