iPhone 17 Pro Max Maps not connecting to Range Rover Sport

I recently paired new iPhone 17 Pro Max with my jeep (Range Rover Sport UK 2021) and it was swift and successful. I can make and receive phone calls. However when I tried to view Apple Maps or Google Maps it fails to connect. I have tried three different cables USB A to USB C (two of them were dual (charge/data transfer) cables but still it did not work. The connection did work just once for a few minutes but when i tried it again later using same cable it reverted to failed to connect. There are three usb slots on vehicle and I tried all. Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks. I got it sorted a short time ago without help from Land Rover dealership. CapPlay working very good now and a little faster than it used to, if memory serves correctly. The infotainment in vehicle was up to date, the cable was not the issue as it works with both cables now and from either of two usb slots. It seems the profile was frozen. Anyhow after a full reset of CarPlay, the system restarted as new and paired again and connected with my iphone and IOS 26.2 thereafter. It also worked with my second (work) phone, an older iphone 11. When deciding what new phone to go for, a vet friend had used his Android to demo. That was last phone used before the issue. Maybe that was part of the issue. Anyhow all working now. Thanks for taking the time to offer advice.

Thank you LD150. I will check. My dealer is 200km away and service closed for New Year. Salesman not sure! It is when I try to connect to CarPlay that the issue emerges. The phone works for calls through car system but that is bluetooth connection. Yes, my jeep needs software update I guess and service due in January. Thanks again. Would putting a sim into the slot in vehicle help? I used to have it in last jeep but did not bother since getting new vehicle few years ago.

Yes, thanks. Believe it or not but the Land Rover service technician wiped the native navigation with intention of installing new and forgot to do so at last service. Hence due to distance I did not yet get back to them and so the CarPlay nav has been great for UK trips London, Southampton etc. . I will get it resolved in January service. Thanks again. Cheers for New Year!
