How to Reset an iPhone with no Screen Time Pass Code

I need to reset an iPhone 6 but it requires a Screen Time pass code to do so. However, I never set a screen time passcode. There is no option to reset or remove the Screen Time passcode under the Screen Time settings in iOS 14.8.1.

How do I reset the phone without a Screen Time pass code?

Earlier iPhone models

Tap or click here: If you forgot your iPhone passcode or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

Select whether your iPhone has Touch ID like the iPhone 6 mentioned earlier in this thread, or has Face ID, and the article will explain the steps.

The iPhone 6 cannot update past iOS 12. Yet you say that your iPhone is running iOS 14.8.1.

Are you sure that this is an iPhone 6?

Settings says 6 rather than 6s, but iOS update is an available option. Doing that now.

I also trying setting forum sort order to "Oldest," but it made no difference.

It is NOT possible for an iPhone 6 to run iOS 14. Not possible at all. If you look at the back of an iPhone 6, it should have a model number on its back. And the model numbers for iPhone 6 would be one of the following:

A1549 - A1586 - A1589

iPhone 6s can run iOS 14 and the corresponding model numbers for an iPhone 6s would be one of the following:

A1633 - A1688 - A1700

@MrHoffman: I updated to iOS 15.8.5, attempted to re-set the iPhone, and was again met with a request for the non-existent screen time code. I then tried the re-set without a code instructions but the phone did not show up in my Finder. I then tried the instructions for when the Mac does not recognize the phone, but none of the recommendations work. I now have a tech support appointment at a local store.

BTW - Although Settings showed it was an iPhone 6 under 14.8.1, Settings now shows it's an iPhone 6s after the 15.8.5 update. Very odd.
