Import missing from sidebar in Photos
My new Mac Air doesn't have "Import" in the Photos sidebar. That's a very handy item. How do I get it back?

Wow-- I just saw this! I wonder if you've gotten a satisfactory answer? I'm not sure which sort of Import you mean.
To import picture files from Finder, a Drive, or SD card, for instance, you start the process in the File Menu
This will let you navigate to the folder with your picture files.
When I import individual pictures, I like to go to the Imports view to send them to albums. This used to be a direct choice in the SideBar, but it's now in the Utilities section:
Recently Saved is similar, but the imports aren't sectioned off by imported group.
As kaz-k has said, when some devices are plugged in to the Mac they may appear in the SideBar.

Hi,
When the devices, such as iPhone, iPad, is/are connected to your Mac, Photos will read your pictures from the devices.
