MacOS 26 freezing on login (from sleep).

MacOS 26.1-2 (MacBook Pro M1) still freezes on the login screen after sleep. If the Mac sleeps and I try to wake-up and login, the Login screen (mouse+keyboard) freezes for 30-40 seconds. After logging in to account the MacOS frezzes for another 30 seconds. Without any keyboard or mouse response.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 26.1

FYI, the only places where macOS actually lists the actual Free storage space is within Disk Utility or the Apple System Profiler. Ignore the very misleading "Available" storage space shown everywhere within macOS......"Available" is not synonymous with Free.

When you encounter the issue again, run the third party app EtreCheck and post the complete report here so we can examine it for possible clues.

It is possible a simple reboot could be enough to resolve things since computers do need to be restarted once in a while. Also, make sure macOS is completely up to date with macOS 26.2 since it definitely fixed some memory & storage issues that earlier versions of macOS 26.x Tahoe had. I know you wrote 26.1-2 earlier, but so many people mix up version number especially when Tahoe had 26.0.1 & 26.0.2 versions.
