I am trying to transfer my old MacBook Air to my new MacBook Air. I am going through the migration process, but my old Mac cannot get bask the spinning Discoverable as ... I have tried everything to figure out why it will connect to the transfer to my mew MackBook Air. Why am I missing?

does that mean you are trying to use bluetooth for migration assistant? while it should work in theory, often times that can result in lost data. and it can also take an excessively long time to complete. IMHO, you should connect the Macs to each other using a wired connection. such as Ethernet, or a direct Thunderbolt/USB-C.

Another way of migrating is from a disk containing a backup of the old Mac's startup disk.
This can be a Time Machine backup, or a bootable clone backup made using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!. Either way, this may be more reliable than trying to migrate wirelessly from the old Mac.
