Apple TV - Watchlists and Continue Watching Complications

Apple TV - Watchlists and Continue Watching - When I add an Apple TV show to my Watchlist, and I watch even a second of it, it moves to Continue Watching. And if I have completed all the current seasons, even though the + has been clicked and is now a checkmark, it doesn't show up on the Watchlist. Why would anyone want this madness? This is over engineered. Let people have their own MY LIST, instead of something someone thinks is better. Add in all other shows promoted from linked services.

Am I missing something here or is this how it works and nothing can be done. If this is the case, Apple please let us control how we manage our list of shows we have interest in.

While we can’t speak for Apple, it appears that this is how it is intended.

  1. ‘Continue Watching’ is your Watchlist, but you should view it as a queue list, rather than a list of things you collect or find interesting, to help you select what to watch next when opening the app.
  2. When you have watched the latest episode of something to the end, or watched a movie to the end, then it would be hidden from this queue list, although in the background still remembered as being part of that list.
  3. When a new episode of something from the list is released, then that would be brought up as a new entry.
  4. If you would like to persuade Apple to a different MY LIST approach, then you can give feedback: Feedback - Apple TV App - Apple
