How to make a single table (list) of Apple Card transactions for a given billing period, including the name of the item purchased?

In regard to the account statements you receive from Goldman Sachs (issuer and servicer of Apple Card Mastercard) it lists individual transactions/payments, but not itemized items purchased. I’m not aware of any credit card that provides that information. I’ve cards from American Express, Citi Bank, Chase, Wells Fargo and several others. None provide an itemized breakdown.

At least with other credit cards, it tells you the store or company. A lot better than this! In fact, before they moved my app subscriptions to the Apple Card card (probably only those bought on the App Store), I don't recall having this problem.

You have guessed correctly about the enhanced security and privacy Apple Card provides. Everything you see in your Wallet app concerning Apple Card is kept private from Apple. Apple has no knowledge of your purchases unless Apple is the merchant. But even then, Goldman Sachs will not supply that information via the wallet or monthly statements.

I'd still, in general, like to see the numbers on the card in case I want to make a purchase on a non-Apple website where they ask you to enter your card no. I can't even put it in my password manager AFAICT.

No. I am referring to any and all purchases made on the Apple Card, Apple product or not. When I signed up for this card, all my app subscriptions were moved to this card. I didn't move them; I'm presuming Apple did, at least those I bought on the Apple Store, including Apple Care+.

OK, I looked again through my emails. I can only find emails with the subject "Your receipt from Apple".

But each email only lists purchases for a single day.

I might have once had a way to search them for the item and price. But maybe not.

The monthly statements tell you all but everything else.

Is this really the best that can be done?

WAIT! OK, I found the emails with the Purchase History link. But the list it gives is pretty poor. The screen cuts off stuff on the right, including the price.

Is there some way to do better?

Is there some way to move all of this stuff to a real credit card?

Well, I would need to move my subscriptions to a real credit card first. I'm not sure how to do that. I'd probably have to do that for all future App Store purchases, too. I never asked for my existing subscriptions to be moved to the Apple Card, BTW. And I don't think Apple ever told me they did it. Maybe it said so in one of those super long license agreements. I only got the card because it was free and was the only way I could get interest-free monthly installments for the purchase of my Mac.

IDK. I like to see what I'm paying for each month. Is that somehow unreasonable, to get a single list of the items I purchased in a month? I guess others don't want to easily see where their money goes, or are happy to do it with a zillion and a half taps. Hmmm, it's probably easier to do this with the mail app!

BTW, I can't tell if you're demeaning me or Apple. Regardless, the "other cards", at least the ones I have and have had, do it right.

Another problem is that the credit card number does not appear on the card. Makes it hard to buy something on various websites that require it. Guess it's only good at the App Store. Yeah, increased security. But you have to balance security vs. convenience. Or they just want to force you to use the App Store, or for non-Apple purchases, a different credit card. So be it.

The hand may be quicker than the eye, but the eye is definitely quicker than the mouse or tapping.
