Apple Watch Ultra 3 black bezel wearing off?

I just purchased an Apple Watch Ultra 3 GPS +Cellular 49mm Black Titanium Case on 12/29/25. I have done nothing strenuous with the watch yet I am noticing the black metal bevel around the watch face appears to be wearing off on the top so that I am seeing a little white/silver. Is this normal? For such an expensive watch I would expect the bevel to be much more robust. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Apple Watch Ultra 3, watchOS 26

If you are still within the 14 day return period (it may be longer because of the holiday) I would return it.

Apple doesn't feel that superficial blemishes warrant replacement under the manufacturer's warranty occurding to others who have reported similar issues in this forum.
