I recently purchased a capture card and have connected the usb 3.0 to my usb c connector into my macbook, the mac is recognising the port and capture card however it is not showing on my streaming software. can anyone help me with this?

have you insured that your capture card is compatible with your macOS. the capture card I personally use doesn't work with any macOS after Catalina. when I try to use it on (lets say) Sequoia, I cannot see any video being captured.
