MAC APPLE Pay requires Watch Approval

When I use Apple Pay on Mac, approval is asked on Watch. It used to be on the touch ID on the Mac. Double clicking on the watch does not work well. Works maybe 20% of time. I would prefer to just use the Mac. This all changed when I went to OS 26.

What do I need to change to get it only the Mac?

Mac OS: 26.2 (25C56)

Watch OS: 10.6.1
