Cache files are there for a reason ... and the reason is usually to improve system performance. Some are created by macOS, others by individual apps. They are located in numerous different locations. Normally there is no reason to manually clear them, and doing so involves risk of corrupting the system and/or apps.


w/r/t macOS, it does its own maintenance & clearing of system temp & cache files. Just let it do it's job.

w/r/t apps, to the extent they have their own caches, they will be in various locations, not usually easy to find.
