Magic Keyboard 2024 not properly recognized

I recently bought a new Apple Magic Keyboard with numeric keypad and Touch ID (2024) AZERTY. I have a 24" M1 2021 iMac with Sonoma 14.8.3. The old keyboard was malfunctioning so I had to replace it.


I first connected the keyboard via the usb-c/usb-c cable that came with the keyboard and as far for the regular keys concerns it works but all the control buttons and touchID don't work. When i disconnect the cable it doesn't connect automatically via bluetooth. When I disconnect the keyboard it appears in de bluetooth list and i'm able to connect but with the same functionality.


When i connect via bluethooth the icon of an old keyboards appears, this is not the one i bought, see the attached image:



I tried disconnecting the keyboard and "forgetting" it in the bluetooth area. I tried restarting the iMac and turning the keyboard on/off but nothing seems to change.


Do you guys have any idea on how to resolve this issue?
