Duel eSIM not active at same time

i activated the duel esim in my iphone 17 pro max model number A3525 but the esim are not active at the same time, how do l go about making both eSIMs active at the same time?

iPhone 17 Pro Max, iOS 26

Depends on what you mean by "active".

While you can use two sims at once, they are set for different uses.

1 sim can be used for voice calls, SMS / MMS / RCS messages and data (web browsing, iMessage, FaceTime over cellular etc.), while the other sim is limited to only calls and messages. You can switch which sim is used for which function at any point though.

You can also set which sim is used to call which specific contacts.

What l mean is that only one sim is available for use at a time. The other will be completely offline, can’t receive or call from it. My wife has a similar model bought together from one store and working perfectly well on both eSIM

Hi, we took the phone to the network provider and were told that they had challenges with the iPhone 17 pro max because the eSIM cords were dropping. It has since been rectified and the two lines on my phone are now working perfectly.
