2026 Monthly Move Streak Challenge Bug

Why is the 2026 Monthly Challenge ‘Move Streak’ not counting my current streak? I’ve forced restarted both devices (iPhone 17 Pro, Apple Watch series 9), I have un-synced and re-synced fitness and health tracking, and I have unpaired and re-paired the watch. Nothing is fixing the issue. My research shows this a known issue for several years with this exact challenge. What is the problem and what is the fix?!

iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 26

Solved it on my own.

  • Backed up data to iCloud from my phone to ensure all date from both my watch and phone was saved.
  • Turned off data syncing for both the Health App and Fitness app under iCloud settings.
  • Powered down and restarted both devices.
  • Unpaired the watch and re-paired.
  • Turned data syncing back on for the Health App and Fitness App.
  • Completed a workout to close my move ring for today and my streak finally updated. Fixed!
