Unable to create folders in Launchpad on macOS Monterey

When trying to create folders in Launchpad, they just bounce left and right from the icon like how a magnet would push itself away from another if the polarization is off. Is this happening for anyone else?? I’m trying to organize and nothing is working. I’m on Monterey not sure of the full version at the moment, but I don’t plan on updating past it until the audio companies i have plugins and programs through are fully and finally updated

I've experienced the same difficulty from time to time, and not discovered a consistent fix. It's less troublesome in Sequoia.

I'll suggest moving the group folder left or right to a mid-row position to limit its escape. Then try to drag the app you want to add onto it.

It can be a little tricky, for some reason, so just keep trying.
