Safari not maximizing images and 'Show me more' button unresponsive

how is it when i'm in google searching images or asking a question, when i click the image, nothing happens. it does not maximize the image. but when i click the link, it opens up. also when i hit the "show me more" button from google when i ask a question, it does not react to my touching it. i restarted the app & phone. but in safari private browser google works fine. is it normal for technology to malfunction when no change has been made on my part. my phone is acting all weird too & i do not need to update anymore :/
