Finding Document Manager in Pages

How to I get to Document Manager in Pages 14.4 on a MBAir running OS 26.2? I want to see all my Pages docs and delete some I don't need any longer.

Pages for Mac and Pages for i/Pad/OS are differently implemented applications. While the i/Pad/OS version does show a collection of previous Pages documents when launched, that is not the case with the Mac version.

On the Mac, Pages itself is not a document manager, you are. As brbo has indicated, on the Mac, you need to use Spotlight to search for existing Pages documents, whether from the search field in a new Finder Window, or by using the 🔍 tool from the right menu bar. I use the search query:

kind:pages

Searching on just .pages will find Pages documents, but may also introduce clutter of other document categories whose content contains reference to any ".pages" string.

If you are interested in only Pages documents created since (>) or before (<) a given date, you can use those operators in the following that will find, in this example, all Pages documents created since June 1, 2025:

kind:pages created:>06/01/2025

And for all Pages documents created between dates that have a blue Finder tag and include a Baskerville font:

kind:pages created:06/01/2025-01/12/2026 tag:blue font:baskerville

As far as I know: Pages app manages just one document at a time, and you can view all pages in the left sidebar. (I could be wrong... my Mac is using an earlier version.)

One way to see all your Pages documents at once is to use the search field in a Finder Window

Click the desktop to make Finder active, click File > New Window

In the window's search field, type the extension .pages (ie: dot pages)

All Pages documents on your Mac appear.

Tip: If needed:

You can click / highlight a document's icon to see it's location appear in the status bar at the bottom

or

You can send a document to the bin from the menu you see when you double-click a document's icon.

Else: Apple Support's online article (link below) provides a way to select and delete large Pages files from an overview of all the files in your Mac's Documents category.

For MacOS 26: Find and delete files on your Mac - Apple Support

Eg: says:

  1. "On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click General  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
  2. Click Storage.
  3. Go to a category and click its Info button  to open it:
  4. You can open the categories that have Info buttons to select and delete files. (In some cases, categories allow you to open an app to delete files while in the app.)"

  • "Documents: See all the documents on your Mac. You can quickly view large files or downloads by clicking the corresponding button, and sort files by clicking Name, Kind, Last Accessed or Size near the top of the dialog. You can also click File Browser to view the contents and amount of storage used by various folders in your file system.
  • Note: Some folders and files that are already represented by categories in the sidebar — other than Documents — are dimmed.
  • The Documents category contains files in your home folder that aren’t included in other categories, such as Pages documents and PDFs. It also includes videos and photos that aren’t managed by your photo library (for example, an image that a friend shares with you using AirDrop)."
