DataTraveler flash drive won't mount on iMac running Ventura

I have a DataTraveler flash drive that suddenly won't mount. When I insert the flash drive, it says eject, ignore, or initialize. It had been working fine previously, and I left it in the same port as always. I tried a different port in the same hub, and I got the same choices. After clicking eject again, I tried a different flash drive (SanDisk) in that same port and that mounted just fine. I'm not sure what to do about the DataTraveler flash drive. Is there a way to recover what's on it if it won't mount? I'm on an iMac running Ventura 13.7.8. What are my options, if any? If I initialize, will that erase everything? Thanks for your help! :-)
