iOS 26.2: Stopwatch glitches and Clock app issues

IOS 26.2 glitch with stopwatch status- pretty minor issue but one of a few quirks I noticed after updating to IOS 26.2 yesterday.

I had a stopwatch going in the background and paused it at around 45 minutes. The black bar at the top- not sure the technical name- continued to show the numbers but had the decimal points glitching and switching numbers randomly between 6, 7, 8 and 9.

when I would go back to the clock app and reset the stopwatch to 0, these numbers stayed at the top status bar, still flickering between different numbers.

is anyone else experiencing weird issues with the clock app?

I don’t know if it extends to this update too, but I have also recently had alarms or timers silence themselves without me even touching the screen, also clearing any option I had for repeating the timer or snoozing the alarm

No, the phone is not jailbroken. It did not do this before the update and started doing this after the update.

whether you like it or not, the update appears to be the cause.

I can’t even take a screen recording of the issue because the record dot shows up in the “Dynamic Island” and masks it temporarily.

When I tried to do this, and did a screen recording, the stopwatch was actually at 0 inside the app but was still showing 45 minutes in the Dynamic Island after I exited the screen recording.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

I am having the same issue. My stopwatch worked fine before the update, and now I am experiencing the exact same problems that OP described here.

Also, if I start or pause the stopwatch in the clock app and then start or stop it on the lock screen, and then switch back to the app, sometimes the actions I took on the lock screen aren't reflected, or the stopwatch may be reset to zero in the app and still show the correct time on the lock screen, etc.

My phone is not jailbroken, and I don't use multiple timers at the same time.

I also use the stopwatch for work, so I am familiar with its functions and have a lot of experience with it. This problem arose immediately after I updated my phone.
