2021 Macbook Pro M1 Crashes when waking from Sleep and Requiring Password

This error occurs after waking the laptop from some form of "sleep" (having had pressed the power button to make the laptop "sleep"), requiring a password to open the lock screen after it's awake. This is repeatable, though it now seems to require some additional time in sleep to recreate the crash (before I tried removing and reinstalling a suspected issue with Google Drive Desktop App, I could repeat the crash after just allowing the computer to 'sleep" long enough to cause the external monitors to go into power save mode).
What may be happening here?
