Original Title: Does anyone else’s apple podcast playback speed constantly reset back to 1.0x even after saving custom settings for a show?

I would find that annoying too.
Have you tried modifying playback speed from your queue? See screenshot. When I do this, it actually does function as a global setting…
If your queue currently has playback set at 1.3, then try bumping it up to 1.4 just to test it out…if that sticks, then toggle it back down to 1.3.
Last thought. My unsolicited 2¢, fwiw. Deleting/reinstalling the app was a reasonable recommendation from the support team => if you happen to have a buggy setting cached in doc/data on your device, that should clear it. If you have issues with the above approach, then I would suggest doing this and trying again.

So annoying having to go to each show's settings and change to 1.3x only for it to reset back to 1.0x all the time. It's a mess. I finally called support and the best they could suggest was deleting the podcast app and reinstalling.

Absolutely and it’s annoying. I can’t figure out for the life of me why this setting isn’t sticking. I’m choosing 1.3 for all podcast (each one you to configure separately instead of having a common sense global setting) and every so often it gets reverted back out of no where. Each time this happens I have to switch all the podcast back one by one.
