Authentication needed to delete images on scratch disk

I am trying to bin some images.. my scratch disk is full and

when I try and trash them it tells me authentication is needed to complete operation.. what do I do?

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 13.7

Click Authenticate in that dialog box; you'll be asked for an administrator password. If possible, then select the drive in the Finder, choose Get Info from the File menu, and check the box to ignore ownership on it.
