Drat-- I had thought that there was a way. But I was wrong. You can "Save to Files" a single picture and change the title of that picture's file while saving. But, alas, you can't do it with a bunch of pictures. Of course, if you wanted to do them one-at-a-time…

But if you do them one-at-a-time, you could use the File Modification date to arrange them. Way too much work!

If you have a Mac, then in Mac Photos you can use "File>Export>Export nn Photos" to set sequential file names-- if you have a Mac.

Otherwise, it looks like you take a screenshot to record the order you've arranged them, and then change the file names using a computer.

That kind of depends on the order you are expecting.

Folders in USB drives don't have a way to set a specific order for files when copied its not a specific setting, that depends on the device being used to access it and how they can sort the contents of the folder. Different devices may offer different sorting options, though the usual ones are by name Alphabetically, by creation date, by file type etc... If you need some other specific order that is not one of the traditional sorts it may not be possible to retain that order once copied.

i.e you cannot force an order. If the device or computer can sort the content via its own sort options by water order you are expecting then it can then be set to that, but that's down to the Operating System on the device accessing the flash drive. There is no way to preset a specific order in stone for all devices that may ever access the drive to show the photos in that specific order every time you plug it in.

A sort setting on one device or computer may not translate to another device with another operating system.
