With ios 26.2, switching tabs in chrome autoscrolls to the top of the web page. This is a disaster if you are reading a long web page, tap on a different tab and then switch back. Is there any option to stop this crazy unintended behavior? Didn't happen with whatever my previous ios was. Makes the ipad much less useful for me.

Have you considered using a better browser - such as Safari or Firefox - neither of which exhibit the behaviour that you describe?
