iPad keypad unresponsive for automated calls after update

iPad, newest update, 26 I guess?

I am using my contact card to call my pharmacy, by tapping on the phone, to use the automated ordering service. I used to get a keypad screen, now I don’t. I selected the icon to show a keypad, but tapping the keys to place my order does nothing. The keypad is not responsive to touch at all. How do I place a call to an automated system requiring the use of a keypad?

Seems like the update broke an otherwise easy iPad task.

Help!!

Perhaps to try and choose from among ipadOS haptic settings in the iPad.

Some of those may vary results you now get; due to sensitivity or other(?)
