Increase and save Apple Watch oxygen readings during sleep
How do I increase and save the number of oxygen readings steering sleep?
Apple watch series 7
iPhone OS up-to-date
Tracking application sleep++
Apple Watch Series 11, watchOS 26

I spent some time on this and tried to find ways to increase the measurement resolution on my own watch (Series 11) and could not find one. I also searched online to see if I had missed something but found no way to increase the frequency of oxygen level readings. I also looked over Apple's own documentation and online manuals but did not find a way to do what you inquired about.
I am a user, like you, and like the other participants in these Discussions. Apple does not participate in these Discussions, only users do. I don't repeat a "corporation stand," I don't even know what that is ... I was addressing what I thought was a technical question about the watch. I did not offer "judgement" but rather stated a fact. I sense that you took great umbrage at my response. If you have another question, feel free to post, but don't shoot the messenger when you don't get the answer you were looking for.

Currently, Apple does not offer an option for that. Apple also says that blood oxygen measurements are not for medical use, but rather to provide insights into wellness. From what I can see, the Watch produces one average reading per day. Given that this measurement is not supposed to be used for medical purposes, it isn't clear why additional readings might be needed or wanted.
By the way, I was in a clinic where such a reading was taken with medical equipment and it showed 100% while the Apple Watch showed a lower number (96%-98%).
Well, to be honest, there are some readings on the watch (not oxygen, but there are others) that I would like to have finer time resolution on also. I'd be interested in accessing the "raw data" to see what some of those readings are. But I sense that Apple does not make all that available to us because it might be easy to misinterpret, with possibly undesirable consequences, these fitness devices are remarkably informative but since they aren't medically certified I suspect that all these companies (Fit Bit, Apple, Whoop, etc.) have to show some caution in what they make available to us "civilians."
Also, I think there is some "noise" on some of the raw data readings so I am suspecting that there is some averaging that has to be going on to produce the readings that you and I can see. That means they cannot provide very high time resolution, or if they did, it would be noisy enough to not be very meaningful. But I am speculating here ...
This was no help other than to confirm the corporation stand. I asked a simple question. I get better readings. your response was no, but filled in with judgement as to why i would ask. None of Apples business yours. the disclaimer was clearly stated when i bought the watch.
Thank you for the follow up. I appreciate your reply. Looks like you spent a lot of time trying to help me out and I do appreciate it. I apologize for being a bit harsh. I have a very specific reason for why I wanted the raw data or more readings during. Averages are Ok but raw data is best. I am an engineer and relish the raw Data.
Once again, thank you for all you've done
