iPhone 16 Pro Max unable to print to EPSON ET-3750 printer

I have had an iPhone 16 ProMax since May 2025. I have had no problems using it with my wireless EPSON ET-3750 printer, nor have I had problems using my new iPad Pro 11-inch (M4 15) or my new MacBook Air with said EPSON ET-3750 printer. Today, my iPhone 16 ProMax decided it no longer wanted to connect to my EPSON ET-3750 printer. My iPad Pro and my MacBook Air are sending print requests to the EPSON ET-3750 successfully.

With the iPhone 16 ProMax, I choose a file to print, then choose the EPSON ET-3750 printer from "Known Printers." it returns to the Printing page with the note, "Gathering printer information" with a little rotating star icon, then defaults back to "No Printer Selected."

I have restarted my router, restarted my iPhone 3 times already, and nothing changes.

Does anyone have any suggestion(s) I might be able to try to solve this? It's so frustrating....

Thank you in advance for your help and guidance.

MrHoffman: I did what you suggested, I removed the VPN app I had been using (Avast) on my iPhone, and that seems to have done the trick. I can now send docs and emails to my EPSON ET-3750 printer using my iPhone 16 Pro Max. There is only one very minor anomaly still happening. On some of the emails I try to print, the option to Print does not appear. Otherwise, everything seems to be working now. MANY thanks of gratitude to you for helping solve this problem for me, Good Sir.

Ensure the LV23P1 firmware is loaded.

Enter the printer’s IP address into a browser to access the Epson Web Config utility, and you can probably load the firmware from there. There’s little doc on this part of the printer, unfortunately. Page 50 has what I can find: https://files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd5/cpd53995.pdf#page50

Epson tooling, website, and doc is lacking, unfortunately.

.: Hello, SrvanKrA, and thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my concern.

I tried your suggested actions, but nothing changed. I still cannot send a wireless print command from my iPhone 16 Pro Max to my EPSON ET-3750. Meanwhile, I have no problem sending print requests to my EPSON from my Pad Pro 11-inch (M4 15) or my new MacBook Air. So I'm wondering if I need to do a comparison of the settings on my iPhone and iPad since each of them uses the same version of iOS. What do you think?

Thank you in advance for your help.

.: Hello, MrHoffman. Thank you for responding to my concern, much appreciated.

I checked the Epson Web Config utility, and it confirmed: "Current Version:10.61.LV23P1." It also noted: "You have the latest firmware."

I tried printing from my iPhone 16 Pro Max. No luck. I also noticed that when I am trying to print a Google email (or any other email with a non-google.com domain name) using the Apple Email app, sometimes on an email I can see the Print command, and other times on a different email I cannot. There seems to be a glitch in the system.

I am now going to try comparing the settings on my new iPad with my new iPhone, since both are running on the same version of iOS. Maybe I'll spot an anomaly; one can only hope.

.: So I compared my iPhone and iPad settings and noticed an anomaly straightaway. When I print from my iPad, the Print Options window opens and the printer defaults to my EPSON ET-3750 Series. When I do the same with my iPhone, it opens the Print Options window but the printer default is "No Printer Selected." A few seconds later, it switches to the EPSON ET-3750 Series, but a few seconds after that, it defaults back to "No Printer Selected." I made a 32-second video of what happens to better illustrate the problem: iPhone 16 Pro Max printing problem. I wish I knew what changed in my settings to make this happen. Any thoughts, anyone?

The purpose of the “coffee shop” VPNs is to seemingly to provide negligible or no added security over iCloud+ Private Relay and ODoH (and the existing end-to-end encryption) and that with modified and sometimes problematic network routing, and with added connection overhead, all while also being perfectly positioned for collecting personally-identified network metadata.

As for the problems with printing from some Mail messages, see if a forced restart of the iPhone might clear that.
