iPhone can't print to Epson ET-4800 after unplugging

I unplugged my Epson ET-4800 when I went on Christmas vacation and when I returned and got it going, I cannot print from my iPhone. When I try, I get the message, "The printer "EPSON ET-4800 Series" appears to be a different printer than the previously used printer with the same name or the connection may not be trustworthy. If this is expected tap "Continue".

When I hit "Continue" it never does anything but give me the exact same message many, many times. Printing from both computers works fine. Wife has android and can't seem to print from that either although it worked fine in the past. Any suggestions?

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 26

This issue is unlikely to be caused by your iPhone 15 Pro. It may instead be a router problem or the printer is unable to connect to the router.

Reset the printer’s network settings

On the Epson ET-4800:

  • Go to Setup / Settings
  • Network Settings
  • Restore Network Settings / Reset Wi-Fi
  • Reconnect it to Wi-Fi fresh (same SSID your phone uses)

⚠️ Make sure:

  • Printer is on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (many Epson models hate 5 GHz-only setups)
  • Phone is on the same network, not a guest network

After reconnecting, wait ~1 minute, then try printing again.
