Can't move apps or put in folders after iOS 26 update

We can't see your phone to know how you're trying to move apps or add them to folders. But on my iPhone on iOS 26.2, if I press hard on an app, the apps start to jiggle and if I then place my finger on the app while the apps are jiggling, I can move the app to a different location on that home page, to another page or into a folder if I want to put it in a folder. Putting an app in a folder, takes some finesse. You have to move the app slowly to the folder and gently move the app into the folder.

• Are you attempting to put them in one of the designated folders in the App Library or in a Folder on your Home Screen?

Have you tried Force Restarting your phone? This does additional housekeeping that may be helpful after an update:

• Press and quickly release Volume up
• Press and quickly release Volume down
• Press and HOLD side button until the Apple logo appears. This may take up to 15 seconds while holding the side button until you see the Apple logo, and you will need to ignore anything else on the screen. If you do not see the Apple logo, then try again as it may take a couple of attempts to get the speed and sequence of the key presses correct.
