Tahoe Music: I see a lot of complaints and comments about usability.
I have one question along that line. I can't enter anything at the top of a column. With over 15000 songs if I'd like to get to, let's say, Joey Heatherton I don't want to scroll the Artist column but that seems like all I can do. Am I missing something?

Type the Name in quick Pace:
Tap the top item in the list, and then type the results fast, key-by-key. If you lag on it(by what seems a second), it will just skip to the next letter you press.

"One more thing...I used to 'deselect all' and then click on the 'date added' to get back to the top of my songs. Now I see there is no select/deselect option in Edit dropdown. There is a 'select all' but deselect was dropped for some reason. Unless I'm missing something I guess that feature was removed? I tried select all hoping then it would provide a deselect all but that didn't work."

It may have been removed.

Looking here, nothing is provided, as far as shortcuts go: Keyboard Shortcuts in Music on Mac - Apple Support
So, remmed this be a feature to Apple. In the meantime, you have to use your trackpad on your MBP.

Do Your Part: Report this to Apple. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what their customers prefer, and what features to include in releases to come. These are just user-to-user forums. Apple barely reads these forums as it is on their own time and will. They will know nothing of your ideas, if you do not provide them with your feedback.

As for the column, that is the header, which cannot be reloaded, as it is built into the GUI (Graphical User Interface) of the macOS.
What to Do:
Order this Accordingly: You need to set these in Ascending or Descending order --whichever applies here.

Top right corner of the Window. The submenu much popup on the right or left, depending on where the columns sits.

I guess I'm harking back to earlier versions of iTunes/Music that keep getting changed, adding steps that were already inherent in the song page design.
