How can I upgrade MacBook Air 2018 from macOS 12.7.6 to use Microsoft properly?

I have a MacBook Air 2018. it is running iOS 12.7.6. it needs an upgrade to use Microsoft properly.

You can upgrade a MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018) to macOS 14 (Sonoma) - but not any further.


I would suggest backing up your Mac. Then use the Sonoma App Store link in

or launch the App Store and search for "macOS Sonoma". (Apple used to hide old versions of macOS, but these days, you can get to some directly.)
