Purchased movies in Apple TV on Roku have no audio

Suddenly almost every purchased file in Apple TV on Roku will not play any audio. One file will. None of the others will. I've played all of them in the past without issue. I don't have an active subscription but that has never mattered before. These are movies I own. Reinstalling Apple app changes nothing.

Why are some purchased movies in my AppleTV library not playing on Apple TV? Some of the movies in my AppleTV library just show a black screen with no audio or errors when I try to play them. Other movies I bought from Apple continue to play as usual. There doesn't seem to be anything different about those movies. Some I bought at the same time will play while others bought at the same time won't. My Apple TV has the latest OS. I have rebooted. The AppleTV is connected by ethernet, so the problem is not wi-fi signal related. The only way I have found to play the movies is to exit my library and go to the "Search" function of the AppleTV app. When I find the movie, its info shows that I have already purchased it. No sound on Apple TV app I setup a used Toshiba tv with a fire stick that had all my apps signed in. All my streaming apps are fine except for Apple TV. There is no audio to go along with the video. I have deleted the app from my firestick, redownloaded it and reset the settings in the app and still get no audio. Extremely frustrating and been going on for weeks.

If this issue persists, then please contact the Apple Support staff. The Apple TV app on any supported device should support one or more of the available audio formats (Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital 5.1, Stereo) for each title.
