Apple Mail is an application which I don't use due to reasons known to everybody. However, it is still occupying more than 4GB of space. The system doesn't allow deleting the application. How can I reduce the space taken up by Mail?

On Tahoe 26.2, the Apple Mail application itself is 17 MB. If you ever received email with attachments, whether presently, or in the past that would be the place to look and remove those emails with the attachments. If you used Apple's Migration Assistant in the past, it would have brought all prior email content into the current Mac.
Hmmm. The reasons are unknown to me. Regardless, you’ll be unable to reduce the program size.
