iCloud sign-in requirement for Apple Creator Studio

With Apple Creator Studio is it required to be signed into iCloud for subscription access? Or can users sign in using the individual apps? I work in higher ed and we have iMacs and iPads in our computer labs. I want students to be able to use their own Apple Creator Studio accounts, but our IT department restricts users from signing into iCloud on lab devices.

Yes, don't think I ever said otherwise.

There is no individual login for each App, nor can you log out of account in Settings log in with a different one without causing issues like a 90 day lockout of the logged out account on that device.

The point being individual users cannot log in to their own account to make use of their own subscription.

Sorry, your question is not very clear.

Creator Studio is a subscription service. It requires an Apple Account to subscribe to and pay for.

Once the Apps are installed on a computer or iPad, they can be accessed without logging in to anything, but there will be no separation of profiles or users within the apps.

The logged in account on the devices is the one used by the Apps. There is no additional log in beyond that.

No. As mentioned there is no login for the individual apps. They use the device Apple account set for Media & Purchases for that.

They won't be able to log into their account and use their subscription since that would require the device or Mac to be entirely logged out of whatever school account it has and logged in with the student's which you mentioned is not allowed and would cause tons of other issues.

Basically, the apps don't offer individual login options. They use the System Account for Media & Purchases.

Thank you for the reply. To clarify, let’s say a student subscribes to Creator Studio on a personal device but wants to use that same subscription on a device in our computer labs. Are they required to sign in to their personal Apple account on the lab computer to access the subscription? Or, would they be able to launch Final Cut Pro on the lab computer and be prompted for their Apple account login at that time? (Our IT department does not allow users to sign into Apple accounts on lab computers in Settings or in the App Store).
