iPhone 16 sends landline calls to voicemail

My iPhone 16 on IOS on 26.2.1 (latest available OS at posting) still sends some land line calls directly to voicemail instead of ringing on mobile phone. I am using AT&T mobile phone service. This has been an issue for a few months. The numbers are set up in contacts and should not be filtered. This only happens with a few phone numbers going directly to voicemail instead of ringing on the phone. Some phone numbers are coming from a company too.

Your phone has no idea whether the caller is using a cell phone or a land line.

Do the calls show up as missed calls in the call log or are you only getting voicemails from them.

If they don't show as missed calls, that means the calls never made it to your phone to begin with. Contact AT&T.

One possibility is that the numbers should contain the whole international number for most reliable operation.

eg +44 1234567890 not 01234567890

Turning off all unknown caller screening is the other option

If that is all set up then keep going to AT&T with it
