Then go to Settings > Apps > Calendar > Default Calendar, and choose your Gmail account there.

I assume you have already added your Gmail account to be used in the Calendar app:

  1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Apps, then tap Calendar.
  3. Tap Calendar Accounts, then tap Add Account.
  4. Tap a service (iCloud, Microsoft Exchange, or Google, for example), then sign in.

I tried that. But the problem is when my phone creates a calendar entry it goes to the iCloud id/calendar not my gmail account/calendar. So it doesn’t show up. I want to have all calendar entries be created on my gmail account. This Gmail account is actually my Apple ID. The iCloud account is not used anywhere.
