Apple Wallet/Pay declined after new iPhone

My apple wallet doesn't work i.e. I cannot top up my Revolut with apple pay and I couldn't pay online with apple pay, I have changed my phone recently (from iPhone 11 to iPhone 16) and since then it won't work. I have contacted my bank, they removed any restrictions on my visa but it still wont work. My IOS is Up To Date and I have already removed and added my card back, waited 48 hours, restarted etc, checked my settings for all details and toggles. All information I get, is that payment was declined and to contact my bank... Thanks for looking into it, M.

Apple cannot and does not approve or decline transactions. If you’re attempting a transaction at a merchant’s location or online and receive a decline, your bank was the source.


You mentioned the bank removed any restrictions. Were there some kind of restriction or alert on your account/card? If there were, then the payment network operator (Visa, MasterCard etc.) might still have an issue. Your bank would need to contact them and request they be removed.
